Here are some commonly asked questions about drywall repair and installation. If you have one that isn’t listed here, please call us and we’ll get it answered for you.

Q I have had the stress cracks in my home repaired, and they keep coming back. Can you get rid of them?

A Absolutely! Stress cracks are unsightly and annoying. We make an on-site inspection to determine the cause. If we detect no unusual problems, we can proceed with a very aggressive solution to make sure they don't reoccur. Most stress cracks can be fixed with one visit. But if not, our one-year service warranty generally enables you to get these cracks fixed permanently.

Q My tray ceiling looked great when I moved in, but now it’s cracked. Do I have to live with this?

A No. Both tray ceilings and vaulted ceilings are great architectural assets to your home. We have achieved excellent results with our three-step repair method. We are the only company who uses this approach. Once repaired, these ceilings will look beautiful for years to come.

Q I hate nail pops. My painter fixes them and they keep coming back. Is there any way to get rid of these?

A Yes. First pops (nails in new construction) are common, and so are screws pops. We repair both by eliminating the problem. In ten years of repairing nail pops, we have never had a call back.

Q My home is only six years old. Isn’t that awfully new for stress cracks?

A These are probably settling cracks, which are not at all unusual. They fall under normal drywall maintenance. Generally, four years is when many homeowners redecorate, so cracks are repaired at that time anyway.

Q I’ve seen do-it-yourself drywall repair kits? Could I do this myself or hire a handyman?

A If it’s a fairly simple job, you could, and it might be good enough. But then again, it might not be. You might end up with additional cracking at a later date. And for the time and effort you’ll spend, you need to decide if it’s worth doing yourself.

Since we’re repair specialists, when we complete a project, it looks perfect. And we also specialize in those jobs that are too difficult for a handyman and too small for a contractor to get involved in.

Q Do you work on commercial projects?

A We do, although the majority of our work is on homes.

Q What about new construction? Do you work on those jobs?

A Yes, sometimes the drywall may not have been installed properly in the first place. We can fix that.

Q We’ll need painting after the drywall repair. Do you offer that service?

A We do. However, for extensive jobs we may refer you to one of our colleagues.
